The Municipality of Sigma, which is usually referred to simply as Sigma, is a 4th class municipality in the province of Capiz, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, the population of Sigma is 31,688 people. The municipality is located 28 kilometers away from the provincial capital, Roxas City. The name Sigma was derived from the legendary Datu Sikma, but was changed to Sigma by the Spanish because they had trouble pronouncing the letter “k.”
